Simple Franconian tavern, but very good food - the roast lamb is really recommended - and great value for money with an amazing selection. Very friendly and helpful service. Great beer. An ideal stop in the Franconian Switzerland after a hike in beautiful surroundings.

Very good and inexpensive food. Friendly service and we didn't have to wait 10 minutes for our food. Big portion. Will definitely go back again.

Overall, we were very satisfied. We were 4 adults and one child (3). The accommodation was very clean and modern. The cleaning staff alone deserves 5 stars! A really nice lady! We had booked 3 nights including breakfast. Breakfast was sufficient and good in any case, only the selection could be better. The dinner was delicious! At this point, compliments to the chef! Price performance ratio absolutely top. You will definitely get full. The area is very quiet and pretty much off the beaten track. Those who like that will certainly feel at home. We liked it. The innkeepers were attentive. Waiter friendly. Only the mistress of the house takes a lot of getting used to for our taste. Those who expect an open-minded and warm welcome and service will unfortunately be disappointed here. Now and then you had the feeling that you weren't welcome. If you want a farm holiday with all the trimmings here, you should look elsewhere. Children, especially toddlers, only get their money's worth on this farm. Chickens, pot-bellied pigs and goats are all in a small enclosure at the playground behind the beer garden and can be viewed. The playground itself consists of a small play tower and a swing. The sheep are located below behind the yard and can be looked at but not fed. Anton the dog of the house is a very nice and sociable dog. If you don't mind that you often sit next to or under the table when you eat, you can have a nice chat here too. We didn't mind. We performed our leisure activities in Pottenstein and the surrounding area. The summer toboggan run and Thurn Castle were the absolute highlight. In summary, a nice and quiet stay with satisfactory service and well-kept accommodation. Farm vacation as you imagine it, rather less.

Nice rustic accommodation, super delicious food, simple good breakfast! The only drawback, there was no WiFi in the annex, which is already a disadvantage given the poor cellular network in the area. But there is WiFi in the room ;-)

On the occasion of today's Trubachtal hike, we stopped here at the Gasthof Zum Signalstein today and ate very delicious Heideschnuckelamm ragout at a very good price-performance ratio. Only the friendliness of the boss could be improved - if she doesn't feel responsible for taking a meal order, then she can please communicate that she is sending someone else over instead of just interrupting one person and saying “I don't take orders against “to wave off ... Customer friendliness is definitely different! The positive rating therefore only applies to the delicious food and the friendly (staff) service!
